Simple School Guide

School Computer Lab Setup Guide

A straightforward guide for school owners, principals, and teachers. Get your school exam room ready in five simple steps.

1

Connect Lab Computers Together

Connect your student computers and teacher computer together using your school’s local network cables or Wi-Fi router. As long as the computers are on the same local school network, they can communicate smoothly.

Tip: You only need a standard network switch or router in the computer lab. No internet connection is needed for students to write exams.
2

Open Stark CBT on the Teacher Computer

Start the Stark CBT Control Panel on your main computer. The software automatically shows the simple link address for your school lab (such as http://192.168.1.50:8080). When you first purchase or renew your license, connect briefly to verify your school license key, after which everything runs completely offline.

Once your license is verified, all exam sessions run 100% locally with zero internet needed.
3

Add Classes and Students

Enter your school classes (such as JSS 1, SSS 2 Science, SSS 3 Arts) and add your student list. You can add students one by one or simply upload your existing school student list from Excel or CSV.

Student names, admission numbers, and classes are saved securely right on your computer.
4

Create Your Exam Questions

Teachers can easily type or paste multiple-choice questions, set options A–D or A–E, and mark the correct answer. You can easily add mathematics symbols, science formulas, or question pictures. When ready, click Publish to schedule the exam for the selected class.

Answer keys stay completely private on the teacher computer and are never visible to students.
5

Students Take the Exam & Get Instant Results

Students sit at their computers, open their screen, and enter their registration number to start. As soon as a student clicks submit (or when the exam timer ends), the software automatically marks the test, calculates percentage scores, and prepares printable report slips.

If power goes off or a computer is restarted, the student can log back in immediately and continue from the exact question and remaining time.
